BY HIS STRIPES YE WERE HEALED
Greetings fellow believer in the Wonderful Name of our blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We come to you with good tidings of great cheer to encourage you in the faith of God, as described in Mark 11:22-25
And Jesus answering saith unto them,Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye received them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.KJV
This verse of scripture encourages us to believe and speak what we desire. Our desire is God’s desire. It was God’s desire first, then He freely gave it to us because it is His will for our life. It was designed to fill our hearts and minds with good godly desires. Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thy heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.-Psalm 37:4,5 All we need to do is speak our desire. We desire sickness to go, so we command it removed in Jesus Name. We desire healing in our physical body so we believe on God’s Word of health in our hearts. Then we understand that once I have prayed, I must believe that I received, and thank God for it without wavering or mingling God’s Word. Once I understand that principle in my heart I’m ready to pray. We continuously confess that we received our healing by faith according to God’s Word. We steadfastly confess God’s Word thanking our Father in Jesus Name because when we prayed, we believed we received. When we look at Mark 11:23 we see that authority is used along with the belief and confession of the individual with the specific desire. Notice the order of the prayer of faith:
First we must exercise our God given authority, our covenant right through the Blood and Name of Jesus.
Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.-Matthew 18:18 KJV
People often think this verse only applies to two individuals agreeing in prayer but if we look at the verses before it (verses 15-17), it is talking about an individual disagreement with another believer. The Lord said, “I say unto you”, YOU is a personal pronoun, then He uses ye twice, that means you as an individual. This verse is telling us that on a personal level you have the power (authority) to bind things on earth and in heaven, and the right (legally) to loose things on earth and in heaven (the first heaven where we live and operate). We have been given this authority by our Lord Jesus Christ. The Authority resides in the Mighty Name of Jesus according Mark 16:17-20.
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. KJV
The power of God is within the Name of Jesus and this power was given unto us when Jesus gave us the right (authority) to use His Name upon the earth, to duplicate the mighty works of Jesus. No other name in Heaven or earth is higher than the Name of Jesus notice the transfer of power to us found in Luke 10:19 KJV
Behold, I give unto power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Next we must believe in our heart.
This is the easy part because we are believers. Believing in our heart is simply believing that what God said is true. Do you believe that our Lord is telling the truth? Yes! Do you believe that our Heavenly Father can lie? No, of course not! Then you must believe that what God’s Word said concerning you is true for you. God’s Word is exactly how God sees you and it is His standard for communicating with us. God’s Word is true for you when you see His healing instead of the sickness, His love instead of the fear, His grace instead of circumstances. By believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that you were healed, healing is made unto you.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.-Romans 10:10 KJV
This takes us to our next vital step of confession.
For surely what you believe in your heart will be known by the confession of your mouth.
For out of the abundance of heart the mouth speaketh. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.- Matthew 12:34b,37 KJV
Listening to what is coming out of your mouth consistently and purely will identify what you are believing in your heart in abundance. We used the word purely because the key to receiving a harvest of healing is saying only what God said. As shown by Mark 4:18,19
And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lust of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
Therefore we must stop speaking the mountain and choose by a firm willful decision to speak God’s Word only. This is crucial to receive our healing. By His stripes I was healed should be the fruit of our confession with thanksgiving. Himself took our infirmities, and bore our sickness should be our reality manifested in this earth realm. As long as we continue to talk about the sickness we are saying by our own confession that we don’t believe that the sickness is removed. That is expressing wrong believing in our heart and giving place to the sickness in our life. Ephesians 4:27 states, “Neither give place to the devil”. We could say neither give place to magnifying the symptoms or fears of the sickness. Right believing in our heart thanks God that we were healed because God’s Word said so. Speaking our desire because we believe that those things which we say shall come to pass in this life, right now here upon the earth. We believe we received our healing in our heart and mind, and it shall come to pass in our physical body also. Whatever healing you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatever sickness you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Heaven represents the Kingdom of God for the Kingdom of God is within you (Luke 17:20), your reborn spirit, your new heart of God. For you have been born of the Spirit, crying Abba (Daddy) Father.-Romans 8:15 Remember that this verse applies to any individual upon the earth. The individual that uses God’s Word of healing shall reap the results of health for themselves and others. God doesn’t bind it to us or loose it over us, and satan can’t overcome God’s Word. God’s Word clearly states, whatsoever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatsoever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. My fellow believer we have the authority and power to be captains of our own salvation.-Hebrews 2:10 We are to speak out our healing through God’s Word, which works in us to do our Father’s good pleasure.- Philippians 2:12,13
Our next step is receiving our healing.
We receive our healing by believing we received it, not going to get it or waiting on God’s power to manifest it, no, no, no, a thousand times no. We must stay with the Word of God which states: What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye received them, and ye shall have them.-Mark 11:24. God’s word is very clear on the subject of healing. Let’s look at the past tense of these three verses to set a foundational fact that You were healed.
When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils; and He cast out the spirits with his Word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.-Matthew 8:16,17 KJV
He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.-Palm 107:20 KJV
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: By whose stripes ye were healed.-1 Peter 2:24 KJV
Notice in all cases the Word of God said you already were healed. We decide to agree with the Word of God, by believing the words spoken from God are true in us. Then confess out of our mouths God’s Word unto healing in the Name of Jesus with thanksgiving.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the Name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him,-Colossians 3:16,17 KJV
When we are full of God’s Word we shall speak His Word purely and powerfully in abundance. Once we believed we received we have the healing we needed. The battle is over, the fight is won, the victory is ours. This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.-1 John 5:4 Our part is to stand in this victory of grace by faith! Having done all to stand, stand therefore with your loins girt about with the truth of God’s Word coming out of your mouth.-Ephesians 6:10-18 You must be mentally convinced that you have your desired healing because God’s Word said you have it. Simply believe in your heart that you were healed. Then add your confession of faith and thanksgiving to God that you received your healing in Jesus Name. This agreement with God’s Word brings the results and fruits of healing that you desired, because now you are walking with God by faith. Now faith is.-Hebrews 11:1 When we are not walking by faith right now believing that God has healed you, then we are not believing God’s Word which brings His great healing and power into manifestation. By faith you believe you received before you see it naturally. God’s Word states in Hebrews 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith; Since this statement is also found in Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17 and Galatians 3:11 we know it is important to our Father and Lord Jesus to live a life of faith, everyday, in each moment of each day. We should never be in disagreement with His unchangeable, immutable, everliving, everlasting Word of Truth. Can two walk together, except they be agreed? Amos 3:3 The key attitude to have (and keep in remembrance) is submission and humility. Submission to God’s Word and godly humility by casting all of your cares upon Him for He careth for you.-1 Peter 5:7 These are godly attributes of a true and pure servant of God. We must cast all fear, worry and concern of the sickness over on our Lord or it will choke our healing to unfruitfulness as shown in Mark 4:19
To re-emphasize the order shown in exercising the Faith of God as explained in Mark 11:22-26
First command the sickness to go in the Name of Jesus.
Submit yourself therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.-James 4:7 KJV
Sickness is of the devil so we can substitute sickness into this verse and say, “Resist the sickness, and that sickness you commanded to go in Jesus Name shall flee from you”. We tell it to go into the sea because people don’t live in the sea, although some travel upon it, none live inside of it. God’s Word declares that man was made out of the dust of the ground and placed in God’s garden of Eden to dress it and keep it.-Genesis 2:7,15
Secondly believe in your heart without doubting.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.-James 1:6-8 KJV
Notice the words "double minded" and "think" used in these verses of scripture. We become single minded on God’s Word through meditating upon it, pondering it, reading it out loud so it can become engrafted in our hearts as discussed in Joshua 1:6-9 and James 1:21. This will fix your heart on God’s promise of healing then you won’t think about the sickness. You will be confidently assured of your healing salvation because you know you have your desire. By His stripes YE WERE HEALED. Period! Speaking only the Word of Faith which is the words of healing, which is By His stripes I was healed. The WORD is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the WORD OF FAITH, WHICH WE PREACH;-Romans 10:8 God’s Word speaks of our health without any words of sickness being God’s will for our life. Our Lord Jesus stays single minded by keeping life and health coming out of His mouth. As His believing followers we should keep our mouths full of health producing words recorded in the Holy Bible, like - By His stripes you were healed. Doing this keeps us from becoming double minded by speaking with a double tongue. When you are speaking about both, you have both in your heart giving place to doubt and double mindedness.
Death and Life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.-Proverbs 18:21 KJV
You have to believe right to speak right, so keep focus on what God has said, IN HIS WORD. That takes us to the next step:
Thirdly, confession of faith based on the Word of God.
Even God, who quicken the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.-Romans 4:17 KJV
God always speaks His Word. If He ever stopped speaking His own Words He would cease to exist. For any house divided against itself shall fall. No normal man in his right mind can speak anybody else’s words besides his own, because once he speaks them he has claimed them as his words upon the earth. This principle is observed in the courts of the land. Once we have spoken certain words they are ours because we are made in His image and likeness. So confess constantly that BY HIS STRIPES YE WERE HEALED, HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES AND BORE OUR SICKNESS, I AM MADE WHOLE, I AM COMPLETE IN CHRIST JESUS. You only need one promise of God to bring into manifestation His divine, supernatural healing as long as you keep your confession pure. David only need one smooth (pure) stone to kill Goliath and although Jesse had many sons only one anointed son (a pure in heart son) was needed to complete the task.-1 Samuel chapters 16 & 17 Jesus is our example, read and study His pure confessions of faith in the gospels. Stay focused, be diligent, be consistent, endure in patience. For you are a mighty believer of valor and by His stripes you were healed.
We desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: that ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.-Hebrews 6:11,12 KJV
Knowing that our hope is in God’s Word that proclaims we were healed and our faith says I believe I received my complete healing. Therefore, by His stripes, I was healed.
Fourthly, believe you received your healing in Jesus Name.
Tell sickness to go in Jesus Name knowing that Jesus’s Name has all authority in it and all power to heal in it. Believe in His promise of healing before you pray and then believe you received His supernatural Healing when you prayed, after that thank your Heavenly Father for your complete healing in Jesus Name.
These are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.-Mark 4:20 KJV
For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest Me; and they have received them,-John 17:8 KJV
Now every time you spoke God’s Words and thanked our Father that you received your healing in Jesus Name, you received from God into your reborn spirit. You received your healing when you prayed the very first time in faith and now your confession of faith with patience and thanksgiving keeps you in the receiving position of standing in God’s unmerited grace. This is the position of life in Christ Jesus for your spirit, the place of rest for your soul and peace for your mind, with total healing for your body.
Just remember - By His stripes, YE WERE HEALED!
