GREETING

Scripture Reading - Psalm 84:9-12

9 Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.
10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
12 O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee. KJV

Notice that the Palmist asked God to look upon his face, as humans God is always looking at our faces through the eyes of His Heart by various people. The next verse states that he desired (wanted) to be a doorkeeper in God’s House this shows us that being a Christian, who greets people joyfully, is a position of honor. People usually put their best foot forward, because first impressions can last a long time. Since we are representing the face of God we are the best foot of the Lord's church, therefore it is vitally important that we are pleasant and maintain a bright countenance. Why?, because the Lord has given us His grace, His glory, His good things, His Name, His Blood, His Joy, His everything to greet the world in His confidence. For we are blessed because we trust in our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ, our personal Savior and the Savior of all mankind. Thank you, fellow believer for greeting people in His Love. Amen!
