SEAS
Scripture Reading - Genesis 1:10 KJV
And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
In general the word “Seas” in the Holy Bible has a natural (physical) meaning of “the gathering together of waters”. Scripturally, this definition would fit the smaller bodies of water known as “lakes” all the way up to the larger bodies of waters known as “oceans”. The large “seas” (oceans) cover approximately three-fourths of the earth and they house a lot of water creatures. Many of the creatures living in the “sea” are for man’s benefits such eatable fish and certain plant life. The “seas” are plenteous in minerals that man, animals and plants all need for sustained life while living on the earth. The Earth and “Sea” were created to complement each other, just like the water in the human body enhances the organs of the physical body. The break-down of food is carried through the physical body with the aid of water. Likewise, the rich nutrients of the earth are carried by the water of “seas” flowing through the various rivers. The rivers of the earth are likened to the veins of the body transporting the necessary nutrients to larger organs. The “seas” of the earth have several purposes beyond just nutrients because they also remove much waste of the earth. Remember when man’s sin was over abounding God used one “sea” covering the whole earth (the flood) to cleanse the earth from the wickedness of man.-Genesis 7 God used the Rea Sea to wash away the Egyptian bondage of the Children of Israel in Exodus 14:13-31 which is a type of the Crimson Blood of Jesus washing away our sins today. The great thing about the Blood of Jesus is that it is ever flowing every day to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We also notice spiritually speaking that the “seas” can represent nations (a multitude of people) and the rushing of the water of the sea represents a mighty movement of people upon the earth according to Isaiah 17:12,13. As the waves are moved by the force of the winds so are people moved to and fro by the influence of spirits (thoughts, doctrine and voices) according to James 1:6. The depth of the “Sea” is known as thick darkness where no light shines and no life can live forever. This is also why the deepest regions (the midst) of the “Sea” is sometimes referred to as the depths of hell.-Ezekiel 28:8 We must remember to respect the “Sea” without revering the “Sea” in fear or awe because the walking on the water takes faith but that same water of the “sea” if influenced by the wrong forces will try to kill you if given opportunity according to Matthew 14:22-33. The spiritual key when dealing with the “Sea” (no solid foundation) is always bring a ship and always travel with Jesus. Jesus is our sole (soul) Savoir so if your boat starts sinking a simple call to the Master of the “Sea” will save your life because your faith gave Him a vehicle (conduit/avenue) to do it. Remember all that call upon the Name of the Lord Jesus shall be saved whether on the “Sea” or upon the “Earth”. Amen.
