OUT OF FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD

Many times a believer can feel like they are not close to God, although let me assure you that this is only a feeling. God is always close to you whether you acknowledge Him or not. The Lord Jesus loves you and died so that He has to legal right to fellowship with you as much as you desire. You noticed I said as much as you desire, because the Lord never sleeps or slumbers therefore He is always ready for conversation. Being out of fellowship with God can happen because of a lack of prayer, being away from your local church, a tragedy, or just a constant barrage of lies from the enemy coming to your mind that God is not interested in you at this time. Like I said, this thought is a flat out lie. The Lord loves you greatly and He desires your fellowship. Remember John 4:23-24

23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. KJV

Yes, I know the verse speaks of worship and I am speaking of fellowship but I hope you can see that one type of fellowship is worship. It is probably one of the highest forms of fellowship based on the verses just mentioned. If you need to restore your since of confidence that God is with you and He is still working on your behalf and trying to communicate with you through whatever means possible, then simply understand to following principles.

1. God is always with you according to Hebrews 13:5-6

5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. KJV

2. God is never trying to condemn you according to Romans 8:1-2

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. KJV

3. If a sin is blocking your view of God's Face simply confess it and forsake it, then walk in complete confidence that you are back in fellowship with your Lord and Savior Jesus according to 1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. KJV

Remember God doesn't just believe in mercy He practices it on a daily basis.

Lamentations 3:22-23
22 It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. KJV

And

1 Chronicles 16:34
O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. KJV

And

Psalm 86:5-6
5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
6 Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. KJV

Whatever the reason the truth remains constant that your fellowship with God is only a breath away. Start right now fellowshipping with your Loving Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ by worshipping Him and you will be a doer of the word, not a hearer only, and you my faith friend will be blessed.

Follow us in this simple prayer out loud based on 1 John 1:9 to restore your fellowship

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. KJV
Dear Heavenly Father I repent for not spending time with you on a regular basis, thank you that the Blood of Jesus has cleansed me of this sin because I have confessed it. I now thank you that we are restored to fellowship because I am speaking with you right now. Thank You Heavenly Father for washing me clean in the Blood of Jesus. I pray this prayer in the Name of Jesus and I am joyful that you look at me with the same loving eyes that you look at Jesus with. Amen!

Now would be a wonderful time to worship your Father God and Lord Jesus Christ. If you have never worshipped the Lord, I will start you off and you can grow the worship to your own satisfaction. I do offer a warning this will change your life for the better if you develop this form of fellowship into a consistent habit. Listed below is a short example of some words that might come to mind when thinking about the Lord

Lord Jesus I love you, Lord thank you so much for saving my soul, God you are so good, and yes Lord your mercy endures forever, For who is like you Lord, in Power, in Love, in Pureness in goodness, in grace, Oh, how I love you Heavenly Father, thank you so much for sending Jesus, He is awesome, Father, your son Jesus is awesome, Jesus is everything to me, I am so dependant on Jesus because He is faithful, yes, I am forgiven because of you, Heaven Father and Lord Jesus, thank you for the Blood of Jesus, thank you Jesus for shedding your precious Blood to save me, I appreciate you Lord, I love you Jesus, you are worthy, you are holy, you are great and kind to me and my family, thank you Father, thank you Jesus, Lord you are my life, Lord you are my strength, Lord you are my smile, Lord you are my health and Healer, I worship you Lord Jesus with all of my heart.
